Im pretty new with rpg maker 2000, (done games in about 2 months now). But I have a big problem. I have a quest that works like this: Guy1 wants a thing from guy2. You need to go to guy2 and get that thing. So when you talk with guy1 the first time, he asks you if you can go to guy2 and get that thing. Then change switch. (Page 2) There guy1 says have you got that thing from me? Choice: Yes case: If you got the thing guy1 will take it, (drop item). And after that you will get some kind of reward. HERES THE PROBLEM: If you dont have that thing and you say yes anyway he will say: You dont have that thing. Please get it for me. How can I make so that guy1 "knows" that you dont have that thing? Please help me with this!

Make the item that guy1 needs a switch, and then when talking to guy1 the second time make a "conditional branch" where if that switch is ON he will accept it, but otherwise will send you away again. Make it so that when you "take" the item from guy2 it turns on this switch, and there shouldn't be too much of a problem. If there's something wrong with that, it's because I haven't done any RPG maker things in months and I'm just restarting now ^_^
