making movie or events

In the beginning of the rpg i want to make a mini movie, like an intro to something that happened where the character moves by himself and stuff, then text appears explaining some past event (fading out) how do I do something like that? Think of FF6 in the beginning as an example of what im trying to do.

You use Move event.
Then you select Hero, then tell him what to do.

You might have to use common events for that sort of stuff.

Also, you can add REAL movies as events too, so if you wanted to waste your time you could act out your character with a video camera and import the movie to your game, or find some RPG movie off the internet or something, then put it in your game. ;D

i want to know how to do the same thing, but just without my hero, iw ant to use the bad guy for the intro, it starts out hes on a cliff and he walks forward a little to say some stuff and then he walks to the edge of the cliff and opens a huge portal. i have all that done, but my character is just standing there the whole time watching, its stupid, i want it where hes just not there.

how do i do that??
