Problem with starting

Ok, just downloaded this. I was going to fool around with it first, so I opened the program. Now, I can't do anything except click New Program, which is what I expected. A window comes up, asking me the director name, and the game name. The thing that is weird is a thing at the bottom that says Project Path. I can change it, but now it looks like this:

C:*Program Files*rpg2003*

The * is a strange symbol. It is a Y with 2 horizontal lines through it. There is an alt-code for it, just can't remember

Anyway, I name it, etc. then clicked Ok. Then a message comes up saying: "Project Creation could not be completed."

What can I do? Or what did I not do?

i have the exact same problem. every button exept that one and the help button are faded.

I'm pretty sure you can get around this problem by just changing the path to the desktop. I know I had this problem, and got around it by doing something stupid like that.

It doesn't seem to work saving into the projects folder in your rpgmaker2003 folder. Just try saving it somewhere else.
